Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Hi all. Thanks for your continued hard work as we get closer to the break. I'm really looking forward to some rest and sure you are too.
Don't forget:
We have final, published drafts due tomorrow!
Tomorrow is a shortened schedule - don't plan on finishing anything at lunch or during advisory!

**6th Grade**
Today we heard some more awesome presentations! Hooray for great 6th graders!
Then, we cleared out our folders, found out about portfolio eligible items, and worked for a bit on our creative writing drafts.
Lastly, we talked about our homework over the break. We are reading, writing one letter about our book, and getting a book commercial ready.

HW: Final draft of creative writing story due Friday. Read 30 minutes tonight. Make sure you have enough books to keep you reading the whole break!

**7th Grade**
Today we read for 30 minutes, heard about winter break homework (reading, writing a book letter, and doing a reflection on one book we're finished so far this term).
Then, we continued to work on publishing our anthologies.

HW: Final anthology due tomorrow. Read 30 minutes.
