Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

**6th Grade**
We started off with some silent reading. Then, we worked on projects. These are due at the beginning of class WEDNESDAY.
HW: Read 30 minutes. Update reading log. Do you need to work on your project at home? Due Wednesday!

**7th Grade**
We started off talking about portfolio eligible work. I hope students now have a clearer picture of what work needs to look like in order to make it into their portfolio.
Then we worked on our explanations some more. All 6 of these need to be finished by the time you come to class tomorrow - we will have time to peer edit and publish tomorrow.
We also practiced the poem we will read aloud on Wednesday.

HW: 6 explanations by tomorrow. Read 30 minutes. Update your reading log - we will recalculate our averages tomorrow.
