Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

**6th Grade**
Today we turned in our expository essays. Make sure your student turned it in - otherwise they need to finish it over the weekend.
Then we worked on projects. Those need to be finished by the beginning of class Wednesday.

HW: Over the weekend, read at least 30 minutes.

**7th Grade**
We started today with some peer editing of our explanation paragraphs. Students now have several edited, revised models to use as a reference as they write.
We spent the rest of the day trying to get anthologies organized.
Students need to finish 4 explanation paragraphs by Monday morning in order to be on track to finish this on time.
Remember: Final anthologies due Wednesday.

HW: Read at least 30 minutes over the weekend.
