Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Happy Friday! I hope that everyone has a wonderful, wonderful long weekend!
**Don't forget: Grandparents and Special Friends Day is coming up next Friday. Invite your special friend (adults only) to visit school with you and show them what it's like to be an ACMS Wolf! Email Kelly Stocks with the name of anyone who is coming to visit: kellystocks@gmail.com

**6th Grade**
Today we shared our map stories! What fun! Can't wait to read them!

Now we're working on BOOK PROJECTS! These are always a student favorite. We'll be working on them in class next week. They will be due Friday.

**7th Grade**
Today we looked some more at paragraphs with quotes. We also talked a bit about how grading will happen in Humanities this year. Parents: all the details are coming your way at Back to School Night. But for now, just know that students are completing their final paragraph with a quote - the one that will count as an assessment in the gradebook. See this handout if you need more details.
Our upcoming due dates:
Tuesday: Part III of the Sentence Structure work is due.
Tuesday: Visual aid to support learning about sentence structure is due.
Wednesday: Final assessment of using a quote in a paragraph is due. This isn't due until Wednesday so that students will have Tuesday tutorial and Tuesday at lunch to see me if they need help. We will not be working on this in class any more.
