Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Popcorn and Chocolate

Today we saw a PowerPoint about the build up to World War II (which I cannot figure out how to upload to the blog!). We discussed upstanders and bystanders and reasons why individuals would have chosen to be both. Details are filled in on our timelines.
Then, we had a book club meeting to discuss how the books came to an end and what we thought of them. I heard some fabulous discussions going on: Great job book clubs! Over discussion, we enjoyed M&Ms and popcorn.
Over the weekend, students should complete the Possessive Nouns sheet. Wouldn't want anyone to forget the joys of grammar over the weekend!

And, last but not least, our All Star winners for the week:
  • Naima
  • Alex Matos
  • Alex Thompson
  • Diamond
  • Griffin
  • Tommy
  • Chermaine
  • Asa
  • Dontavius
  • Ella
Happy 4 day weekend! See you WEDNESDAY!

  1. Ooh, if you want to upload the video to the blog: ask Mrs.Cannon, she does it with all of our PPTs. :D Happy Friday!

  2. Thanks, Zoe. I will ask her Tuesday. So helpful! And that was a great idea to give a prize to Naima's friend. That was very thoughtful of you.
