Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

On the Front Lines

Most of today was devoted to continuing our writing process. Publishing our news articles has been a great experience so far. We will work on these for another hour tomorrow and then they will be due next Monday. Whatever you don't finish tomorrow will be weekend homework.
We also had two wonderful book project presentations.
  • Coty, Fenn, Robert, Nadia, and Tommy presented a children's book
  • Kynedi led us on a scavenger hunt to find hidden clues from the Warsaw Ghetto. What fun!
Finally we discussed pronouns some more!
For homework:
  • Complete both pronoun worksheets
  • Bring your book club book tomorrow - we're going to give them back!
