Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Middle School, the Muscial

Thanks to Mr Aaron for a wonderful field trip today. What fun!
We did have about an hour of class today before we left on the trip. We reviewed personal pronouns. Students seem to be doing a great job with those! Hopefully we can start to use them to enhance our writing.
Finally, we spent an hour or so working on publishing our "On the Front Lines" stories. We edited the stories in class last week, so this week we are working on copying a final product, re-checking the rubric for all elements of the story, and publishing the articles to look like news articles. I am really looking forward to reading these stories!
We will have time to work on them in class tomorrow, in class on Friday, and then they will be due on Monday. Students will have the weekend to finish them if they are not done by the end of class Friday.
