Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

**6th grade**
Today's focus was catching up on our adjective work. Congrats to students for staying focused during this hard task! 6C ROCKED today!
ZAE: Read 30 minutes, fill in reading chard. Adjective Assessment Friday. We will look at a pre-test tomorrow.

**7th Grade**
Today we focused on writing and finishing up a draft of our essays. Rough drafts due tomorrow for peer editing.
We also heard a book talk from Xofia and two wonderful chapter read alouds from Home of the Brave.
HW: Finish a draft of your essay. Read 30 minutes if you have time after drafting.

Timeline:
Thursday: Peer editing, start working on timeline visual
Friday: 1 hour to work on final draft, 1 hour to work on visuals and prepare a presentation
Monday: Final draft due, more time to work on visuals and presentations
Tuesday: Presentations of timeline items
