Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Prewriting

Today we continued to discuss prewriting - the art of getting one's thoughts organized before beginning to write! Students are certainly developing some creative solutions to the problems facing Latin America and Canada.
Ms Laura and I conferenced with each student to discuss their progress with research and in developing their ideas.
Students should have finished prewriting today. Many began work on their rough draft.
For homework, please complete an introduction and at least 2 body paragraphs. If you want to draft the whole thing, feel free! This can be written on loose leaf paper or on the sheet provided in class.
