Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

European Exploration

Mr. Aaron just gave me this picture of the cast of Songfolks: The Musical, written by Fenn Conner. We've seen acts 1-6 and look forward to 7-13 sometime soon!

Today we began our Europe Unit. We spent the day looking at pictures, watching a movie, and discussing the knowledge we already have of this continent. I'll send home and post the unit overview sheet tomorrow.
For homework tonight, students are beginning to read about the religions in Europe. Students have been given a handout about either Islam, Christianity, or Judaism and a chart to fill in about the main points. We will discuss religion as part of European culture. Please read sections 1-4 of your handout and answer the relevant questions.

  1. Mrs. Glow - I didn't get to go to your class today. Can you give me the homework tomorrow?
