Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Mythology

Today we started working on mythology! We read the story of Persephone and began to investigate what makes a myth a myth.
We are also working on conjunctions. Students should complete the front and back of the first page of their conjunction packets.
Tomorrow: More mythology! By the end of the week, we will start writing our own myths!

    Will we be reading more Greek mythology? I find that the most interesting of all of the different kinds of mythology I've read.
