Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Ways to resist

Today we wrapped up our discussion of upstanders in European history by discussing the ways that people resist. Very fascinating!
We also discussed Proper Adjectives, words like European, Jewish or Tanzanian. These are adjectives that need to be capitalized because they refer to a specific group, place, person, language, etc.
For homework, to review these concepts AND our upstanders all at once, please complete this Describing Upstanders worksheet as well as the half sheet on Proper Adjectives.
We will continue to reflect on our work from Unit 2 and file artifacts away into our portfolios.

Remember: Current Events are due for purple and red tables on Friday. You can do EITHER Europe OR Lating America. If you choose to do an extra credit book project, please bring it in by Wednesday to get the most possible extra credit.

Finally, thanks to Zoe and Fenn for a fantastic presentation on Maria Montessori today. These ladies went WAY above and beyond!
