Cultural Pizza Party Tomorrow!

What a great day in 6C Humanities!  Students were polite, productive, and on task!
We reviewed our map skills, began work on our new vocabulary words, and put the finishing touches on our cultural pizza boxes.
Students drew pictures for the first four vocabulary words out of Seedfolks: vegetating, oblige, refuge, and haphazard.
For homework, please draw a picture to represent each of the next four: disgrace, crevice, solitary, and decorum.  The pictures should be drawn in the small box on the left of the page.
Students had time in class to finish writing reflections for the 6 aspects of their culture represented on their pizza box.  By tomorrow, each student should finish 1 reflection for each area (recreation, food, customs, heritage, family, and beliefs).  Reflections should be 2-3 sentences each.
Optional for tomorrow: We will be feasting on cultural foods shared by our classmates.  Students are encouraged, but not required, to bring something to share at our lunchtime feast! Yummy!  Can't wait!
