Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

**6th**
Today Mr. H. began class by introducing the RAFT exploration project. For the project, students got their roles and began to brainstorm opinion statements and reasons to support the opinion. Those who did not complete the opinion statement and 3 supporting reasons will do so for homework. From there, students took an ADVERB pretest which will be used to judge where students will begin with adverb work tomorrow. Then, we did PALS.
Homework: Read and record. Opinion statement and 3 supporting details.

**7th**
Today we:
- Remembered what we used to know about sentence structure
- Did PALS
- Worked on our RAFTs
HW: Students should finish their graphic organizers to get them checked tomorrow. Also - read and record on your bookmark.
