Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Prepping for CRCT

Today we talked about the upcoming CRCT. For a bit more info, click here. We looked at these tips for success on multiple choice questions and longer reading passages. For homework, students are working on a passage from a previous CRCT and applying these skills to that passage. When I collect it tomorrow, I will be looking for evidence that students underlined information about the questions, used process of elimination, and explained why they chose the answer they did.
Then, we saw more excellent book projects! Looking forward to more tomorrow.
Everyone should make sure they are up to date on all of their work in all classes so that they can go to Success Day tomorrow. For many this also includes studying for a Spanish quiz retake tomorrow...
