Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

Grammar Archeologist

Today, we continued to nail down some specifics on grammar.
We learned about State of Being verbs. This song might be helpful - or drive parents crazy!
Then we continued to research. While researching, we dug deep to find information on our sub topics as well as finding nouns, proper nouns, adjectives, proper adjectives, and verbs that specifically describe our indigenous group.
Students should now be finished with research and ready to move on to using these wonderful descriptive words to help them with their writing tomorrow!
For homework, please work on the State of Being Verbs worksheet AND news reports if you're due this week!
