Fernbank Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 12, we are taking a field trip to the Fernbank Museum to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit. Should be great fun! Here's the permission slip in case yours went missing.

READ!!

Our homework, in 6th and 7th Grade, is to READ in a quiet, dedicated space for 30 minutes (at least 15 pages) each and every night. Students should record the number of pages they read on their Reading Calendar.

If you have any books from the school OR classroom library - PLEASE RETURN THEM ASAP!
Thanks!!

Here's an interesting story about women's rights in Saudi Arabia which I thought you might like since so many of us have been studying this:

**7th Grade**
Today we did peer editing/revision and had one hour in the computer lab to publish our work.
Final drafts due TUESDAY.

**6th Grade**
Today we looked at signs and symbols in Aboriginal dot paintings. Then, we tried to guess at the stories being told.
Then we drafted our own - in detail, with color - and wrote the stories they might be telling on the back.
More to come on Monday!!!
